Had him cruise by my blind around 5pm but he did not stop and present a shot. Watched him pop out at the other end of the cut soybean field some 440 yards away trailing a doe at about 5:20. The Gaul force winds were blowing from him to me so I jumped out of the blind and used a slope in the field and some thick cover on the edge of the field to make my way towards him and the doe. Once I had gotten to where I was even with them in the field I belly crawled out to the edge and came up onto my knees and zapped him with my rangefinder at 104 yards. Brought up my Ruger 350 Legend and sent a 180gr Federal into his left shoulder, he made it maybe 20 yards running towards me before falling over for good. Biggest buck to date.
