My first buck with my crossbow. I got super lucky! He sneeked up on me while I had looked down to give my eyes a break from staring at trees and leaves all morning. I looked up and there he was 15 yards standing directly in front of me staring at me. He must of saw my head move when I looked up. I froze and he stared for a second and looked back down at the ground looking for acorns. I slowly moved my crossbow up to my shoulder. He looked back up, tilted his head for a split second and then immediately turned to run. As soon as I saw his shoulder I let the bolt fly. It busted through his shoulder took out one lung and exited his chest underneath his neck. He ran 100 yards and dropped. Sometimes luck is all you need.
