Heard something walking and it stayed behind a large oak tree for a few minutes before stepping out with those huge tall antlers. I had the crosshairs of the scope just behind the front shoulder and only had one ear plug in before the bang of the rifle left my other ear ringing from the muzzle break inside the ground blind. The buck kicked up both rear legs towards his belly and shot up the hill before tumbling halfway down to the creek below. Two full grown men to drag this monster out of the woods was a chore but worth it as many steak dinners to come!
