Persistence pays off. I’ve been hunting 25 years and my biggest deer up to this point was a small 7 point. I was fortunate enough to have this buck of a lifetime walk in front of my blind as he was lured in by a doe in heat. He ran about 20 yards after the shot. He ended up winning the Big Buck contest at Little River Casino in Manistee. His unofficial score at the buck pole was 166 but many people claimed he’ll score higher. I still can’t believe I was fortunate enough to get this incredible deer.
