My husband and I were hunting the spot where he shot his first buck; it was beautiful, it was on a ridge that over looked a valley that followed into a swamp. I was just telling my husband how it would be nice to see even just a 6 point buck. As I was turning to look away, he whispered to me that there was a buck coming from our left, up the valley. At first I couldn’t see it clear because of the beech saplings. Once I spotted it again, I followed it with my scope and waiting for it to step into the opening between the trees. Before I knew it I had pulled the trigger and made a clean shot. I looked at my husband in disbelief that I had made that shot and thought that the buck might of at least ran a few yards, but instead he dropped right where I shot him. It wasn’t until we got up close that we realized that I had shot an 11 point buck! I was very excited, considering it was also the first buck I had ever shot!
