I had seen this buck in the morning chasing a doe but was working the other side of the field. So I went back out after Thanksgiving dinner and set up about 200 yards closer to where I had seen him that morning. About 5:00 he showed up in the field by himself still 250 yards out. Grunted a couple times. Nothing. Couple more times. Nothing. Hit him with a loud deep growl and he came running right at me ! Stopped him at 50 with a mouth grunt and dropped him where he stood. Not my biggest but first one to actually grunt in .
