New to hunting, I’ve been practicing and placing stands and cams for 10 months now. I put in a ton of effort and money into this fall. On my FIRST hunt EVER, a buddy of mine and I sat in a double ladder stand. This buck came out after a doe and spike at 8:15am. Was eating some Sorghum and quartering away a bit. I had a perfect vital shot from an angle. The buck ran into the woods and died about 50 yds away within 15-30 min. First Hunt will be one I will remember forever!
