My second buck ever and WOW I could not be more pumped nor thankful. Thanksgiving morning I get around as usual and head to the most comfy stand possible, as day broke I soon realized the water had rose and I needed to move, there is a stand relatively close that I could sneak into so I did. The morning yielded no deer at all. I headed in for some food and family time all while wondering where I should go. After a text to my hunting buddy I knew what I had to do. I was back into the stand at 1:30 it wasn’t until a tick or two past 5 that I heard something moving in from behind. I slowly grab my gun just then a pretty loud grunt sounds off and two does are 20 yards at a crossing. I hear the buck coming the does bound over and I shoulder my 12ga H&R USH, he appears at the crossing, all I could see was bone. The does bound up to about 50 yards and stop, he jumps the crossing and stops he takes one final step as I drop the hammer, and he hits the dirt. I could not have dreamt a better season ender!
