The buck on the right was shot by my great grandpa in 1912 up in the UP. It’s a 9 point with not one but two broken drop times. The buck on the left is my 11 point this year. The night before I saw him come running out in a corn field from 400 yards away. I believe he was spooked off another property as he wasn’t trailing a doe and was very nervous. I decided to sit in the same spot the next night to see if he showed himself again. This time he came from behind me at 60 yards trailing a doe. We were face to face as I stood there on the ground, luckily he didn’t see me. The rest is history. What an honor to continue the legacy and tradition of my family. Last year I lost my grandfather that got me hunting and this buck was shot on his land. This one’s for you Grandpa.
