This guy walked up at 805 at about 40 yards and trailing away. I drew back but had to let down. I wasn’t going to just let him slip off so I hit the grunt softly. He faded out and about 25 mins later he suddenly appeared about 22 yards out right underneath me. I drew back again but he got a little skiddish that he couldn’t locate the grunting buck and faded away again. I kept my bow in my hand and just waited for about 45 mins until I saw his big body atop a hillside scanning the area. I hit the grunt hard once and about 2 or 3 softer ones. He then slowly made his way down the hillside and heading left to right. I drew back in a window and waited until he passed through…stopped him and let it fly about 33 yards. First bow kill!
