I’ve been hunting the same area for years with my dad and grandpa. Unfortunately grandpa passed away this summer so opening day was pretty somber. I stopped by grandpas blind in the morning to have a moment and continued out. Around 4pm heard some movement coming from behind me couldn’t see anything. 20 minutes later he stepped out broadside at 50 yards. Not the biggest deer but definitely meant the most.
