So me and my dad were out sitting out in our blind, he had a movie on for me since I got bored the day before and spooked a deer away. So we were sitting there being really really quiet when we heard a deer snort SW of us, he told me just stay super quiet and it might come in. About 10 minutes went by and my dad paused my movie and said that there was a deer coming in. I asked him if I should shoot it just me behind the front leg and he said to shoot it right in the shoulder because it was 80 degrees and we didn’t want to track it. So he came in 40 yards away and I could see where to shoot through a small tree so I shot my 450 bushmaster that my dad just build me and it fell right where he was standing. My dad started yelling “YOU DROPPED HIM! YOU DROPPED HIM!”. We got down right away and Dad showed me how to approach the deer from behind so it couldn’t kick me if it was still alive but he was dead before we could get to him. I am so excited!!!! Best part was that it was my dad’s birthday so that hunt was for him!
