This is my 3rd year of the youth hunt. I taken 8pt every year with my dad. This by far is the biggest I have taken and in full velvet. Which is awesome. Me and my dad went out in morning and seen few doe no bucks. But he told me the night hunt will be good. It was hot but we were in blind at 4:25pm and seen 11 turkeys and 6 doe and few fawns dad told next deer in field should be bucks. It was like 2mins and this big 8pt came out. I got on him and dad had to tell me to wait alot of times until he turns and he turned. I took the shot at 55 yards he dropped in his tracks. Love being in the woods with my dad and family can't wait to go next year and to set with dad when season starts.
