My dad and me rushed out to my grandpa’s hunting property after my football game to get into a hot blind for an afternoon sit. About an hour in a doe came in and I decided I was going to shoot her. She quartered away and I shot at her but my arrow missed just under her. About 10 minutes later this 8 pointer came out and made his way just out of range but about another 10 minutes after that he made his way back into the food plot and gave me a perfect quartering away. I squeezed the trigger and watched the bolt hit him in the boilmaker…didn’t go 40!
