Prior to that morning, I’d never experienced morning hunting success on my property. I arrived at my blind just before 7 a.m. and noticed considerable movement before dawn. After 8, a three-pointer appeared, trailed by a yearling, a doe, and a buck that was hot on that doe. I quickly grabbed my binoculars to verify the buck’s identity – the nine-point buck frequently captured in my summer trail camera photos. The buck presented a perfect shot at 8:30. He only ran for 50 yards!
