Special one for me. Not the largest set of horns I’ve ever taken in my life, but it’s the best one with my bow. I had a late start to bowhunting due to lack of resources and opportunities along with multiple shoulder surgeries that held me back growing up. I stuck with it and have taken some real nice management does since, along with one smaller buck when I was younger with my bow. This summer, my wife gave birth to our first born son and she and I joked about this being the year I get a chance at a nicer buck with my bow. On my FIRST sit of the year, on a friday after a long work week, it finally happened. 46yds away, Broadside fighting with a yearling buck, THWACK. I felt like I’d taken my first buck again. Probably the coolest photo I have now. Plenty more of these hunts with your old man, Buddy!
