Couldn’t have asked for a better day sunny and warm, doe came in about 4:30 p.m at 100 yds I was going to tag out when I noticed movement to the right of her and out he stepped at about 4:45 pm. I thought he was a 6 pt from opening day, so at 100 yds I doubled lunged him and he ran about 50 yds and much to my surprise he was an 8pt. I was really happy with this one, my best one thus far.

I checked the wind and it was a SSE wind which was perfect for one of my stands. I decided to make the hour and a half trip at 3:30. I was up in the tree at 5:10. At 6:40 I looked to my right and he was standing there. He needed to take one more step. He did I put it behind the shoulder and let it go. He ran 20 yards and did the wobble and down he went. I have a bunch of trail cam pictures of this buck.
